Portland’s people

Portland’s people

  1. The man slurping almond milk out of a hole in the carton he’s created. The satisfied look on his face as he swallows the silky goodness back, its creaminess coating his thankful throat.
  2. The Pendleton contact center supervisor and her purple fingernails click-clicking away at her keyboard as she briefly adjusts the black eye glasses that sit atop her nose.
  3. The man selling stones on the sidewalk near Pioneer Place, grasping the Earth colored gems in his dirt covered fingers as he shows them off to me. His wispy white beard and gentle eyes.
  4. The Arthouse cafe-goer in her leopard print dress, black turtleneck, and black Doc Martens as she stares intently at her computer screen and types away, bobbing her head back in forth. Deep in thought, complete with her icy blonde pixie cut, black tattoo, and grass green matcha beverage.
  5. The natural redhead, around 25 years old, on the Eastbound 77 with a cozy looking scarf and white diamond earrings on, letting her music cascade into her eardrums and then sink into her soul.
  6. The middle aged, Asian, black haired man with a firetruck red shirt letting me charge my phone in his Lyft car. The tap-tapping of his fingers on the dash as we wait at the red.
  7. The beautiful Italian barista at Bella’s Bakery with her long brown hair wrapped back into a delicate bun, a couple of her wispy waves framing her tender visage and deep brown eyes. Her silver necklace dangling atop her prominent collarbone, a pendulum meant to hypnotize all that views it.
