What makes your tongue dance behind your teeth?

What makes your tongue dance behind your teeth?

Out of lust for life,
nervous sadness,
or pure bliss.
Pinpoint your version
of
raw
lucid
being.
What moments marinate
you tender
in a world
that hardens souls for fun?
The tears that finally come,
daggers puncturing your heart,
suddenly allowing it to breathe
Laughter spreading like wildfire,
choking on a smoke of bliss
A sea of full of dancers,
the most tasteful type of drowning
Leaves, streams, and winding trails
dressing enlivened eyes
A thousand strangers puppies,
sharing silken ears to pet
Toasty sand slipping
through wind kissed fingers
Semi-sweet wine
and swoon-worthy
dark, velvety cacao
Kisses like raindrops,
toes curling
spine icing over
Music radiating through eager ears
Amethyst, seashells,
and lavender swimming
through clear air…
this is the recipe
for my souls agility.
ask yourself, what is yours?
they tell us;
“keep your physical form fit”
but what about the entity
that outlives your body?
My aim is to keep it dancing
long past the time
the rest of me lies dormant.
These limbs weren’t created
for idle existence,
and neither was
the force that drives them
I am cultivating ever-evolving
steadily revolving
livelihood.
Are you?
If today were your last,
would your spirit have stories
worth telling the others?
